canoeing, outdoor activities and adventures in Northern
Cape, also on the Breede River and Doring River in the
Western Cape. We are based Western Cape, which is one
of South Africa’s top travel and tourist destinations.

ORANGE RIVER - CANOEING
Join us on an unforgettable African Canoeing Adventure
on the Orange River (Gariep River), passing through
the breathtaking arid Richtersveld scenery. Under the
guidance of experienced and qualified staff you will
enjoy a 4-day, 4-night adventure not easily matched.
Enjoy scrumptious meals, raging campfires and great
company as you overnight under the starlit African sky.
To top it all the water is warm and the weather naturally
perfect 'all year round'.
The Orange River, South Africa's largest river - rises
in the Drakensberg range some 15 km's south of Mont-aux-Sources
and flows 2340km's westwards until it reaches the Atlantic
Ocean at Oranjemund.
ORANGE RIVER / RICHTERSVELD CAMPSITE
Wildthing Adventures Orange River Campsite is situated
on the banks of the Orange River, on the border between
South Africa and Namibia (on the South African side)
at Vioolsdrif and is the last campsite before you enter
the Richtersveld National Park (a national heritage).
The camp can host 300 people and each campsite has the
following facilities: small lapa, electricity, fire
place and a sink with running water. The camp has flush
toilets and warm water. The Wildthing Adventures Orange
River Campsite is approximately 670km from Cape Town
and 1455km from Jhb.

WHITE WATER RAFTING - DORING RIVER
An exhilarating 2 day - 2 night, white water rafting
trip will take you down the Doring River, passing through
the majestic Northern Cederberg mountain range. Under
the guidance of our experienced guides, you will tame
the raging waters of this river in a 2-man inflatable
boat. Spend the evenings under clear African skies in
tented safari camps. Experience the peace and tranquillity
this river of contrasts has to offer when night falls.
The Doring River, situated in the North-western Cederberg
has its origin in the Ceres area and winds its way through
the Cederberg Mountains, where it joins with the Olifants
River at Klawer.
Your 2 day rafting trip is only 280km away from Cape
Town. So if you are on a weekend trip, you don't even
need to take leave from work. Depart home after work
on Friday and join us for a "lekker" Potjie
at 20h00, just in time to get the party started.
CANOEING - BREEDE RIVER
Looking for a fun and relaxing break from everyday
life?
The Wildthing Adventure Breede River Getaway will help
you do exactly that. All it takes is one day in nature
to rejuvenate the soul. Be it a family get together;
a celebration; or a corporate break away, we have a
variety of options for you to choose from, and it's
only 90 minutes drive from Cape Town.
The Breede River originates in the GREAT Hex River Mountains
and winds its way through beautiful green valleys, picturesque
vineyards and quaint little towns such as Worcester,
Robertson and Bonnievale before it disappears into the
Indian Ocean at Witsand. The Breede River Valley - wine
route section, situated 120 km's from Cape Town is the
ideal venue for wine tasting and the perfect past time
for social and corporate groups.
Depending on your event and your time available, we
have packaged 7 different itineraries for you to choose
from. All packages include catering by Wildthing Adventures,
and include all river and catering equipment, transport
during the trip, and qualified, passionate guides. The
overnight trips include all bedding (excl. towels).

Wildthing Adventures runs team building programmes

While visiting Cape Town, join us for an unforgettable
day trip in and around the Cape Peninsula. We offer
tailor-made trips to the Winelands (including wine tasting
in the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch regions),
Olive Country (including olive tasting in Darling, Riebeek
Kasteel and Paarl), and Hermanus. We also host day trips
of Cape Town City (Table Mountain and the City Centre),
Atlantic Seaboard (visiting an array of beaches), Cape
Point (stopping off at Boulders Beach and visiting Cape

You simply have to experience it. Wildthing Adventures
in conjunction with KTM Cape Town offers you an exclusive
off-road motorbike experience with a touch of class.
We have four locations, which include: Richtersveld
(a world heritage site); Cederberg Mountain Range, West
Coast and Baviaanskloof. The grade options at each location
vary from 1-3, 1 being easy and 3 being challenging.
There would be several riding options on your adventure,
from single day out-rides to multi-day trips with safari
style overnight camping. As with our other adventures,
specialised guides will accompany you on the outrides.
