ABOUT SOLITAIRE COUNTRY LODGE

Solitaire Country Lodge accommodation is the ideal base from where to explore South-western Namibia.

It is also your gateway to the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei - via the Sesriem gate.

This isolated outpost is the ideal stay-over from where to explore the desert surroundings and attractions of the area.

Solitaire has fuel, tyre repairs and a general dealer, while the famous home-baked bread and apple pie can be enjoyed while on safari through the Namib Desert.

ACTIVITIES

Two non-guided walking trails - distance between 3.5km to 8km.

The trails are clearly marked with interesting information of the plants and trees on the route.

An ideal base from where one can explore Sossusvlei and the Naukluft mountains.

Experience spectacular sunsets from the top of the escarpment while driving from Spreetshoogte - or Remhoogte pass.

Take a scenic sun-downer drive through breathtaking Pro-Namib scenery, vast open spaces, granite outcrops and ancient flood plains.

Relax with an ice cold Gin & Tonic while watching the sun set over the oldest desert.
