Namushasha Country Lodge is located 24 km south of Kongola on the MR 125 in East Caprivi, Namibia, about 115 km from Katima Mulilo.

ABOUT NAMUSHASHA COUNTRY LODGE

Namushasha Country Lodge accommodation, in the East Caprivi, Namibia, is a luxury bush lodge with chalets fitted with mosquito nets. Situated on the bank of the Kwando River overlooking a tranquil hippo pool. Over 450 bird species have been recorded here.

Namushasha is a real unspoilt African experience with luxury facilities in very scenic surrounds. Boat trips and fishing trips on the Kwando River or game drives in the Bwabwata National Park is a popular pastime. A 4km hiking trail promise to surprise with birdlife and interesting flora. Visit Mbukushu & Mafwe traditional villages to experience basket weaving and the beautiful wood carvings.

  • Campsites have no electricity points
  • 1 x Lapa with thatched roof, gas cooking facilities (prior bookings welcome to secure space for lapa)

  • From R704 per person sharing bed and breakfast

  • Camping rates from R65 per person

ACTIVITIES

  • Boat trips on the Kwando River
  • Game drive – cross the river by boat into the Bwabwata National Park and explore the area on custom built 4x4 vehicles with the possibility to see abundant Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and more plains game
  • Fishing - trawling or spinning for species such as Nembwe, Pike, Catfish,Tiger fish can be arranged on request
  • Guided or Non-guided hiking trails available to guests who want to explore the surroundings on foot.

Birding is especially good in the area with over 450 bird species being recorded and amongst others include the following species:

  • Brown-throated Weaver
  • Brown Firefinch
