LOCATION

Induna Adventures is situated at Hazyview, right at the heart of Mpumalanga’s prime and well known tourism attractions. With the Kruger National Park only 10 minutes away, we’ve got the big 5 right on our doorstep. The splendour of the picturesque Lowveld is on display with the Panorama route, including the Blyde River Canyon (world’s third largest canyon) and world famous God’s Window.

Hazyview offers fine hospitality and a wide range of Lodges and hotels, Guest Houses and B&B’s to choose from. Not to mention the wide variety of superb restaurants offering exciting and different menus.

Induna Adventures strives to give each person a life changing experience. We specialize in white water rafting, quad biking, horse trails, kloofing, abseiling, mountain biking, climbing wall, paintball, sunset cruises, zipline, mountain boarding and hiking. We also compile tailor-made packages for Corporate Team Building, Incentive Break-Aways and School Groups.

WHITE WATER RAFTING – SABIE RIVER

The Sabie River provides 20 rapids (grade 2–3) with areas of scenic vegetation and outstanding wildlife viewing. This 8km route is yielding to the novice, yet accommodating to the thrill seeker within all of us. Swimming, bum sliding and wave surfing with a boogie board at “Lions rock”.

DURATION:
Half Day – 2.5 hours, cold beverages and snacks included.

Full Day – 4 hours, picnic lunch along the scenic riverbanks.

WHITE WATER RAFTING – OLIFANTS RIVER

This is rafting as good as it gets - and the ultimate African Adventure. On this two day rafting trip you will experience everything from wild big water to the absolute peacefulness of Africa when we overnight on the white sands of the Olifants River. You pass through so many different scenes that it is actually mind blowing.

We run the river in 6 man rafts, and for those who are more adventurous the option is there to tackle the river in a 2 man raft. The guides are the best in the business.

WHITE WATER RAFTING - BLYDE RIVER CANYON

The Blyde River runs through the deepest green gorge in the world. Rapids are challenging and exciting and you need a degree of physical fitness. Full day and overnight options available.

ABSEILING

An activity for the thrill seeker! Face your fears and step over the edge into oblivion…

Abseiling is commonly practiced the world over as a method of descending a rope in a safe and controlled manner. Our abseil experience takes place at Makuhlu, a 27m high granite rock face overlooking the Kruger Park.

DURATION: 4 hours, cold beverages included.

QUAD BIKING

Our Quad biking adventure will exceed all your expectations. Trails run through the most scenic Sabie River Valley, winding along the Sabana River, indigenous vegetation, mountain hills and other streams. The tracks vary from technical to very easy, so we have something to offer the expert as well as the beginner!

Halfway we have a quick stop for drinks and snacks before we get back to serious Quad Biking.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

 Buffed endless downhill’s, gruelling climbs, fast rollers and technical problems that rattle your teeth – all the ingredients found in real mountain biking! Induna Adventures offers from easy to very difficult single tracks and the scenery is out of this world! Beginners and experienced riders are all welcome.

DURATION: 1,5 hours, cold beverages included.

KLOOFING

An activity for the adventurous! Explore areas uninhabited by man while enjoying yourself: rock hopping, bum sliding, pool crawling, hiking, river traversing and throwing yourself over the edge into breathtaking pools. You cannot deny yourself this opportunity to experience the outdoors with all your senses:

HORSE TRAILS

Become one with nature as you enjoy the beautiful Lowveld scenery of the Sabana River, indigenous bush and fruit orchards on horse back. Small game and hippo are still roaming around in the area and might be spotted on your trail. Abundant bird life makes bird watching a feast; so don’t forget your binoculars. We accommodate both advanced and novice riders. Kids and first timers are also welcome.

ZIPLINE

Why would anybody strap themselves onto a high speed pulley running on a 450m long cable, descending a mountain at a gradient of 45 degrees, reaching a speed of up to 100km/h, wind screaming in your ears, trees flashing past you - and you find yourself suspended in mid air screaming on top of your voice? Because it’s fast, it’s fun, it’s safe and it is what life is all about!

SUNSET CRUISE

Enjoy nature’s tranquilizing effect while watching the African sunset over a picturesque dam. Floating on an inflatable raft at sunset is a unique experience and allows you to kick back, forget about your troubles and relax completely. Delicacies and liqueurs are served on a floating table by candlelight. (For corporate groups only)

GECKOING

 Geckoing is the by far one of the best adventure activities that humans came up with - it rocks! This is probably the best way to descend a low volume river like the Sabie. A Gecko is a very small raft that you steer with webbed gloves, no paddles needed! It is very easy to steer and very safe, and one of the coolest ways to have fun with family and friends in the sun and water!

PAINT BALL

We will supply the paintball guns, paintballs and protective eyewear (according to paintball regulations), as well as protective clothing for the players. It is a fun and technical exercise!

While there are many different types of games, all involve strategy, stealth and quick thinking.

  • Capture the flag – ends when your team captures the opponent’s flag and returns it to the base
  • Center flag– similar to “Capture the flag” but with only one flag in the centre of the field to be captured
  • Fox and hound – everyone hunts a small fox team, foxes may receive multiple hits, hounds get only one hit
  • Elimination – two teams slug it out to the last person

HIKING

Winding along the scenic Mac-Mac River, this is an easy walk of about 5 kilometers. Lush vegetation and an impressive amount of bird, tree and fish species are to be found in the ample stretches of shade and riverbanks. Bum sliding and swimming in the cool water pools of the Mac-Mac River ensures a day filled with fun and laughter.

CLIMBING WALL

The 16m climbing wall has 3 levels of difficulty to cater for your very first time, to experienced climbers. Our qualified guides and quality equipment makes climbing at Induna Adventures SAFE.

Climbing is a sport using strength tempered by technique; it is a balance between anxiety and determination, finding pathways through the impossible. It is a playground that prepares you mentally for life. Stability, balance and leg strength are the key factors, not upper-body strength - so it is perfect for all ages and sexes, from expert climbers to keen kids. It will leave you satisfied & on top of the world!

MOUNTAINBOARDING

Join us for a rush of beautiful forestry roads down into the Sabie Valley! Mountain boarding is quite easy for anyone with general good balance. It combines the freestyle aspects of snowboarding, grass boarding, sand boarding, skateboarding and surfing. With in one hour most people can learn on our slight grass slopes, before heading out for the adventure of a lifetime! Enjoy the beautiful views and tranquillity of the forest as we descend on our 2 hour journey. Old jeans and shoes with good ankle support recommended.

Outdoor Strategic games

Solving unusual situations through cooperation of the group members. The ideal choice to evaluate the dynamics in a group. The aim is to improve cohesion in the group, in order to improve working relations and efficiency in the workplace. Decision making, effective and clear communication, trust and teamwork are necessary prerequisites for finding solutions to the given problems.

GPS Team development

Experience the magnificent African surroundings while tracking your way points. You will need to solve unusual situations through cooperation of your group or team members. Its here where the dynamics of sharing ideas, and working together to accomplish a goal, is fundamental. You will learn orientation skills in the form of a treasure hunt. Move from point A to point B and gather as much points and info on you way to victory.

Big 5 Sabie Sands orientation experience

Experience the magnificent African bush set in the heart of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in an open vehicle. Game rangers will accompany you while tracking the Big Five, and share with you their vast knowledge of the surrounding wildlife. The animals that can be seen include Africa’s 'Big Five' in their natural habitats. On top of that you will also come to learn about the fauna & flora that contribute to the African bush. There are very few things as soul affecting as seeing these magnificent creatures.

Induna Adventures has combined this amazing experience with Team development programs; you will learn orientation skills and solve unusual situations through cooperation in the form of a treasure hunt. Move from point A to B and gather as much points on your way to victory. It’s here where the dynamics of sharing ideas and working together to accomplish a goal, is fundamental.

Quad Bike GPS Orienteering

Teams will have to find their way through African Bushveld and Orchards using Quad Bikes with only a GPS showing them the way! Along the way they will Discover Strategic games and solve unusual situations through cooperation of the group or team members. It is fun, energetic and brings out all team dimensions!

High Ropes Course

It is not only a fun event but it also pulls the team together as you have to work together and communicate under unusual circumstances. It creates an environment that is ideal to stimulate growth and can be used as a powerful tool in our team development programs.

Adventure Race

The Induna adventure race will take about 1 ½ hour to complete. It is not about fitness but rather strategic planning and teamwork that determine the success of your team. The race will include tubing, hiking and raft steering. A really exciting way to develop and promote team work!
