De Ark Mountain Lodge offers accommodation near Clarens in the Eastern Free State Highlands and also nearby Golden Gate National Park. It is less than 3 hours drive from Johannesburg or Bloemfontein.

ABOUT DE ARK MOUNTAIN LODGE

De Ark Mountain Lodge, has accommodation with breath-taking 360° views on the mountains and the picturesque village of Clarens. It is the place of restoration for those in need of silence, nature and solitude.

Elevated above the village of Clarens below, De Ark is strategically located adjacent to the Golden Gate National Park (20 km drive from entrance) and 7 km drive from Clarens town centre, with its vibrant village life.

The farm has some of the most beautiful landscapes which can be experienced when taking an early morning walk, mountain bike ride or on horseback amongst the wildlife that occurs here.

ACCOMMODATION

De Ark Mountain Lodge consists of 7 chalets and 1 room (TGCSA 3 star) with en suite bathrooms, 2 chalets with its own fire place, mini-bars and patios with sweeping views of the mountains – a true gem of the Free State!

RATES

Rates depend on the amount of persons per chalet. The chalets can accommodate up to 6 persons provided that 4 are minor children, accompanied by parents.

• One person per chalet - R500
• Two persons per chalet – R425 each
• Three persons per chalet – R425 (first two persons) plus R350 for the 3rd person
• Four persons per chalet – R425 (first two persons) plus R300 for the 3rd and 4th persons

Child Policy
Free for children up to 2 years
R 212.50 for children up to 11 years
