Tshukudu Bush Lodge is located in Pilanesberg National Park, a malaria free, Big 5 game reserve near Sun City, in North West Province, South Africa. The lodge is set high up on the side of a hill with breath-taking views over the plains and a waterhole below. Tshukudu is known for its attention to detail and ideal for a relaxing break, romantic breakaway or honeymoon.

Daily game viewing safari drives are conducted by highly experienced Field Guides. Guests can enjoy multiple sightings of plains game amongst other as well as the Big 5. Tshukudu offers fantastic wildlife and birdlife photographic opportunities.

Please note that there are a steep incline with 132 steps to reach the lodge and therefore inaccessible to the physically challenged.

Driving time from Johannesburg is approximately two hours. The Pilanesberg Airport is in close proximately to the lodge.

ACCOMMODATION

Tshukudu Bush Lodge presents ten luxury chalets. Three of the luxury chalets feature a private plunge pool on a secluded deck with breath-taking views over the plains and waterhole.

Luxury Suite with private plunge pool

Enjoy an ultra-luxurious stay in a spacious room, consisting of one king size extra length bed and lounge leading to a deck with private plunge pool. The bathroom consists of a free standing bath with separate indoor and outdoor shower. Standard in each suite is a minibar, safety deposit box, hair dryer as well as tea and coffee machine.

Luxury Chalet

The luxury chalet consists of one queen size bed, a single bed by the entrance of the chalet, a small lounge area and balcony. The bathroom consists of a sunken bath and overhead shower. Standard in each suite is a minibar, safety deposit box, hair dryer as well as tea and coffee machine.

DINING

Tshukudu is renowned for its exceptional cuisine. Meals can be enjoyed in the intimate dining room or on the main deck or around the fire. High tea is provided on the deck overlooking the plain and waterhole at the foot of the hill. A wide selection of South African wines will compliment your dining experience.

CHILDREN

Due to the special nature and tranquillity of Tshukudu Bush Lodge no children under the age of 12 years are allowed.

WILDLIFE, BIRDLIFE & NATURE

Pilanesberg National Park presents a wide diversity of wildlife species, including the Big 5 mammals which are the Rhino (Black and White), Elephant, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. It is home to critically endangered species such as the African Wild Dog (Cape Hunting Dog) and the Black Rhinoceros.

With more than 360 bird species recorded in the area, birdlife further enhances your safari experience.

The Pilanesberg National Park is a significant geological site as an extinct volcano of over 1300 million years.

Tshukudu Bush Lodge is located in the Pilanesberg National Park, near Sun City, in the North West Province and about two hour’s drive from Johannesburg. The Pilanesberg Airport is approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the lodge.
