Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge is located in the Pilanesberg National Park, home to the Big 5 and is positioned in a malaria free environment.
Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge is one of the premier lodges in Southern Africa and provides 5 star luxury accommodation and safari experience. The lodge offers views of the distant bushveld amphitheatre and is well located in an exclusive use zone, adjacent to the wilderness area.
Shepherds Tree in Pilanesberg National Park, is situated in North West Province and about 2 hours by road from Johannesburg. The popular Sun City Complex is situated nearby.
ACCOMMODATION
Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge presents 26 Standard rooms (or 13 family suites), 4 executive suites and a Private Villa.
26 Standard Suite
Accommodating 2 adults is each room or 4 adults in combined rooms (Family Suite)
Standard rooms each feature an en-suite bathroom with a patio overlooking the impressive Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The Standard rooms, which comprise a main bedroom with en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower, can be combined to create a family room option, which in turn comprises two sleeper couches, a covered patio as well as a flat screen television with limited DSTV channels.

4 Executive Suites
Each accommodating a maximum of two adults, no children
The Executive Suites offer an en-suite master bedroom with an en-suite indoor steam shower and double outdoor shower. The lounge leads out onto a patio that overlooks the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The placement and design of each suite ensures privacy and uninterrupted views.

Private Villa
4 Standard rooms, all en-suite, accommodating 8 guests.

The Amani Spa at Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge offers 3 private treatment rooms, 2 of which cater for couples, and one of which includes a stunning hydrotherapy bath.
CHILDREN
Children of all ages are welcome at Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge. Children under the age of 6 are accommodated on safari by means of a 'bush bumble'. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on normal game drives and children between the ages of 6 and 12 only allowed at the discretion of the game ranger. Baby-sitting can be arranged at the lodge at an additional charge

The dedicated state-of-the-art conference facility and functions center at Shepherd’s Tree provides for a maximum of 70 delegates. Each conference is tailor-made to client’s requirements.

WILDLIFE, BIRDLIFE & NATURE
Guests at Shepherd’s Tree have the opportunity to view a wide range of wildlife species that occurs in Pilanesberg National Park, including the Big 5 mammals and other species like Kudu, Giraffe, Warthog, Blue Wildebeest, Hippopotamus, Zebra, Impala, Springbok and many more.
Birding is excellent with over 300 species of birds recorded.
LOCATION & ACCESS TO SHEPHERD’S TREE GAME LODGE
The recommended route follows the N4 west before turning north onto the R556, while following the “Pilanesberg” signs. Continue past Sun City entrance and Bakubung Gate turn-off and proceed to the 4-way stop. Turn right onto the R565 and proceed for 12km to the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge entrance.
