Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge is host to families, businessmen and delegates from all over the world and is a popular conference and convention venue.

Guests can enjoy a host of recreational activities including dawn and evening safari game viewing drives, bushveld boma barbeques, golf and other recreational activities at nearby Sun City. A unique attraction at the lodge is an underground hide with a view on a waterhole. It is linked to the lodge by a 180m long underground tunnel.

Kwa Maritane is an ideal destination for a quick breakaway, romantic getaway or a weekend family break with the kids. It is located near Sun City in the North West Province and is about two hours by road from Johannesburg.

ACCOMMODATION

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge has a total of 90 luxury rooms, all with full access to a range of amenities.

To ensure comfort and convenience, all rooms have individual air conditioning, DStv, direct-dialling telephones, electric shaving plugs, coffee and tea-making facilities, a hairdryer, international multi-plugs and electronic safes. Minibars are stocked on request.

This lodge does not facilitate any camping or self-catering at the luxury hotel rooms.

The conference venue at Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge has a range of facilities and state of the art equipment. Up to 264 delegates could be hosted, depending on the type of conference.

Conventions, product launches, team-building exercises, weddings, business breakfasts and lunches, seminars, cocktail receptions, dinner dances, banquets as well as private dinners, could also be arranged.

Wildlife oriented educational & team building activities can be provided to Groups & Conferences on request.

CHILDREN

Children of all ages are welcome at Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge.

Game Drives for children

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge welcomes children of all ages on game drives. Kwa Maritane will allocate a vehicle specifically for families with young children, which shall leave slightly earlier than the regular game vehicle departure.

Junior Rangers programme is available for all children aged 6-12 years. Activities are geared around natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity to explore the Pilanesberg National Park. The Junior Rangers Program is available at a small additional cost to parents and usually takes 2 days to complete. On completion of the program, children will be including in a graduation ceremony and will be given a certificate and badges for activities completed.

SAFARI GAME DRIVES & WILDLIFE ACTIVITIES

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge is ideal for those wishing to explore the wide variety of wildlife, including the Big 5.

The main lodge area is connected to a tunnel of about 180 metres which leads to a game viewing hide overlooking a waterhole. Unobserved by the animals, guests can view the wildlife that frequents the waterhole.

Safari game viewing drives are conducted early mornings and late afternoons to early evenings. Due to the popularity it is essential to book in advance.

WILDLIFE & BIRDLIFE

Pilanesberg National Park is home to the Big 5 animals and a wide range of other species, including Kudu, Springbok, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Baboon and many others.

More than 360 bird species have been recorded in the area.
