Bakubung Bush Lodge in Pilanesberg National Park is a family friendly game lodge and offers safari game viewing drives amongst many other activities. With quality accommodation at affordable rates, it is ideal for a weekend break, family holiday or a corporate function.

This large malaria free game reserve is home to a wide variety of animals, including the Big 5. There is a wide range of activities available at the lodge, as well as at nearby Sun City.

Pilanesberg is approximately two hour's from Johannesburg by road and is in North West Province.

All rooms, leading onto either a balcony or a patio, have panoramic views of the Park and the Hippo Pool.

CHILDREN

Children of all ages are welcome at Bakubung Bush Lodge.
In an effort to improve the experience of guests, Bakubung Bush Lodge has decided to accommodate children of all ages on game experiences. Bakubung will allocate a vehicle specifically for families with young children, which shall leave slightly earlier than the regular game vehicle departure.
Legacy Junior Rangers program is available for all children aged 6-12 years. Activities are geared around natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity to explore the wildlife at Pilanesberg National Park.

DINING

The Bakubung Restaurant offers mouth-watering breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant or outside deck.

On Saturday and Wednesday nights guests have an option to either enjoy the chef’s carvery in the main restaurant, or to book a bush braai (barbecue) in the boma, (weather permitting).

Friday night’s guests can also enjoy an African themed spit braai (weather permitting).

CHILDREN’S POLICY

Children’s policy - meals

Children 12 years and under (maximum two Children per room) stay and eat free when sharing with one or two parents, and children 13 to 17 will stay free when sharing with one or two parents but pay 50% of meal prices. Children occupying their own room will be charged the full adult rate (maximum three Children per room).

Children’s policy – game drives

Children between the ages of 6 and 12 will receive a free game drive per day when sharing with one of two parents. Children between the ages of 13 and 17 (sharing with one or two parents) will stay free but pay 50% of the game drive price. Bakubung Bush Lodge allows children of all ages to go on game drives.

Sole Game Drives –10 seater R4 400 and 20 seater R8 800.
