Rhulani Safari Lodge is a luxury lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve, a popular Big 5 safari destination, which is malaria free. The lodge is set along a ridge and has panoramic views over the reserve. Guests have the chance to view and photograph a range of wildlife and abundant birdlife on safari game drives.

Rhulani Safari Lodge has been awarded "Africa's Best Relaxation Retreat" according to World Boutique Hotel Awards as well as “World’s Best Luxury Bush Lodge” from the World Luxury Hotel Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Madikwe Game Reserve is situated in the North West Province, on South Africa’s border with Botswana. It is about four hours' drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

ACCOMMODATION

Rhulani has capacity for 18 guests in 7 private chalets and one family chalet consisting of 2 luxury suites. Enjoy the total privacy of your own private plunge pool while you relax in the spacious luxury of your private chalet. The en-suite bathrooms have an oval bath, twin basins, indoor and outdoor showers.

FAMILY SUITE

The family suite consists of two luxury suites. All the rooms lead onto a private deck with plunge pool.

CHILDREN

Rhulani Safari Lodge welcomes children of all ages. Kindly note that children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives, but a baby-sitting service at a nominal charge is available.

CONFERENCING

Rhulani’s conference centre accommodates up to 25 delegates. Conferences can be designed to suit your itinerary. As Rhulani accommodates only 18 guests overnight, overflow can be arranged at neighboring lodges.

Safari game viewing:

Early morning and late afternoon game drives in open vehicles, conducted by experienced Field Guides, offers guests the opportunity to see the Big 5 amongst more than 66 other mammal species.

Bush walks:

More than 350 bird species recorded in the area.

LOCATION & ACCESS

Rhulani Safari Lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve is accessible by air (landing strip nearby) or by road. It is about 4 hours’ by road from Johannesburg, 90 kilometer's north of Zeerust. The lodge is accessed via Wonderboom Gate.
