Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge is Madikwe Game Reserve’s only authentic bush camp and eco lodge and here guests can become one with nature.

The malaria free Madikwe is situated in North West Province, just a 3½ hours drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria, 1½ hours from Sun City and an easy half hour’s drive from Gaborone.

ACCOMMODATION

This rustic camp is unfenced and guests are accommodated in raised wooden cabins set amongst the natural vegetation around a central camp fire and lapa area.

An exclusive and unique wilderness experience is offered to a maximum of 16 people in nine double cabins.

Guests can enjoy a real bushveld experience close to nature, with the simplicity of open fire cooking, no electricity, and safari showers.

Cabins have partly open sides and are arranged in adjoining or detached double rooms with twin beds and simple amenities. Duvets, pillows, blankets and towels are provided.

Whilst bathrooms are not en-suite, they are essentially private – fenced toilet and shower facility are discreetly situated amongst the cabins. The safari shower’s water is heated through a donkey boiler.

DINING

Wholesome and traditionally cooked meals are served and are prepared on open fires.

CHILDREN

Regretfully, as Mosetlha is an unfenced bush camp, only children 6 years and older can be accommodated.

ACTIVITIES

Safari game viewing drives:

Field Guides are extremely well qualified and experienced and will take you out into the Reserve in open 4x4 vehicles where you will have the chance to see the Big Five, the endangered wild dog, cheetah, a multitude of plains game and over 340 species of birds.

On these safari game viewing drives, Mosetlha’s guests have the opportunity to enjoy a wilderness experience and a true safari adventure.

Bush Walks:

Bush walks accompanied by professional Field Guides can be arranged.

Madikwe Game Reserve is one of the most spectacular game viewing destinations in Southern Africa.

Wildlife is abundant and impressive, with the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and both black and white rhino) as well as the extremely rare and endangered wild dog and cheetah.

The latest bird list boast over 360 species.

LOCATION & ACCESS

Madikwe Game Reserve is located in South Africa’s North West Province with Botswana as our northern border. It is about a 3½ hours' drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria, either via Zeerust or via Sun City.

RATES INCLUDE:

RATES EXCLUDE:

North West Parks and Tourism Board Reserve Entrance Fee of R180.00 per person (once off).
Madikwe Conservation Fee, currently R150.00 per guest per night.
Alcoholic and Soft Drinks.

NOTES:

Rates are based on a minimum 2 night stay.
For a one night booking over a weekend, ie a Friday or a Saturday night, there is an additional charge of R 200 per person.
Children under the age of 12 years receive a rate of R 200 less than the adult rate.
Mosetlha Camp is a rustic unfenced bush camp and can only accommodate children over the age of 6 years.
