Morukuru Farm House accommodates 10 guests in 5 luxurious double suites on an exclusive use basis, inclusive of scrumptious meals, beverages and various wildlife activities. To ensure the most ultimate safari experience, Morukuru Farm House will provide the services of a private butler, private chef, private game drive vehicle, private guide and much more.

FOOD AND WINES

The chefs at Morukuru Family Farm House are meticulously trained and can provide a wide array of catering options from traditional, formal and nouvelle cuisine to relaxed and casual snacks on demand, and everything in between. Guests are also able to personally select wines from the wine cellar to accompany and compliment meals.

CHILDREN

Morukuru Family Farm House is extremely child friendly and welcomes children of all ages. Children are allowed on game drives throughout the Madikwe Game Reserve and are able to enjoy every magical aspect of being on safari with their parents. Children will receive a Morukuru Kidz Backpack filled with Safari treasures. The services of a Nanny is offered for those parents that wish to have a little time to themselves allowing them to relax knowing their children are being cared for. Children are kept busy with baking, kiddie-adventures, swimming, fishing and much more. Morukuru ensures that outdoor activities for children are safe and supervised by qualified and experienced rangers at all times.

Game Drives

The Morukuru game drive experience is the ultimate safari adventure. Game drives are conducted by an experienced guide and tracker in a pristine wilderness area, home to the Big Five, endangered Wild Dogs, 350 bird and various animal species. A variety of snacks and drinks are enjoyed on game drives. Guests will have their own private game viewing vehicle and game ranger and are tailored to your preferences.

Morukuru hide

For a romantic evening with a partner or for family members and friends, a sleepover at the hide is perfect to spend a night in the wild where the wildlife roam free. For those less daring an evening stop at the hide during game drives is a magnificent spot to experience wildlife, birdlife and a great spot to do some star gazing.The Morukuru hide is set next to the water’s edge and protected by an electric fence.

Bushwalks

In a pristine wilderness area where predators roam free, guests will be protected by the presence of a personal fully armed ranger and experienced tracker. Children under the age of 16 may not participate in bush walks and for those over the age of 60 a doctor’s certificate is required of good health. Alternatively a stroll through the fenced in area, home to general game can be enjoyed by the entire family. Bush walks are limited to a maximum of eight guests.

Birdlife & Birding

More than 350 species of birds, including many interesting raptors can be seen. On request, staff can set up a romantic starlit sleepover at the Morukuru bird hide.

Fishing Safaris

Many different species of fish are found, including Yellowish, Catfish, Bream, Eel, Paper mouth, Three Spot Tilapia and Carp.

Water fun

Just outside the Madikwe Game Reserve at the local Molatedi Dam guests can enjoy water fun, fishing and water skiing. This excursion on the private Morukuru boat, is seasonal and weather permitted. It is a full day excursion including a scrumptious lunch prepared by your private chef.

Local Dancers

Cultural Dance performances are presented by the nearby primary school of Molatedi Village.

Massages

Relaxing Spa Treatments are presented at a location of your choice, within your personal villa, be it the sala overlooking the Marico River, the deck of your room or by the pool. WILDLIFE & BIRDLIFE

A spectacular diversity of South African wildlife is conserved at Madikwe Game Reserve and you can enjoy the South African wildlife and the tranquility of nature while on a safari at Morukuru Farm House.

Madikwe Game Reserve is home to the Big Five and also the endangered wild dogs. A vast number of wildlife can be seen, namely leopards, zebra, giraffes, ostriches, warthogs, Impala, Springbok, Kudu, Wildebeest, Eland, Blesbok, Nyala, Sable, and many more.

Madikwe is home to over 350 resident and migrant bird species.

LOCATION

Morukuru Farm House is approximately 110 km from Sun City, and a mere 4 hour’s drive from Johannesburg. Private transfers by road can be arranged or scheduled flight/private charter, only 45 minutes, from O.R. Tambo International Airport to Madikwe Game Reserve.
