Lion Sands Narina Lodge is set in a private concession area in the Kruger Park and offers 5 star luxury accommodation. It is situated right on the banks of the Sabie River, in a prime game viewing area of the Kruger National Park.

The Sabie River has one of the highest predator densities with the highest density of leopards in Africa. This river has a rich biodiversity with many endangered and rare species found in this area.

Lions Sands presents two luxury private safari lodges in the Kruger National Park, namely Tinga Lodge and Narina Lodge.

ACCOMMODATION NARINA LODGE

Lion Sands Narina Lodge comprises of nine luxury suites, each with a private plunge pool and viewing deck with uninterrupted views of the Sabie River.

Perched amidst a canopy of 100 year old trees overlooking the Sabie River, the style of Narina is that of a luxurious treehouse, where the main areas link to the private suites via raised wooden walkways.

Tineyeleti Treehouse (assigned as an overnight activity)

Tinyeleti Treehouse is fully equipped and you can expect all the comforts of a luxury stay. It can accommodate 4 guests. Enjoy a Gourmet Basket, specially packed, and then settle in with a cocktail as the animals come to drink at sunset.

Tinyeleti Treehouse is booked as an activity over and above the accommodation reserved at Narina Lodge.

DINING

Lion Sands Narina Lodge prides itself on scrumptious food and are also proficient at adapting their menus to suit specific dietary requirements, and special occasions. Meals are enjoyed on the deck overlooking the Sabie River.

ACTIVITIES AT THE LION SANDS – NARINA LODGE

As one of the few private concessions within the reserve, Lion Sands Narina Lodge, Kruger National Park offers guests with the advantage of going off road to follow in the footsteps of lion, leopard, track down a herd of elephant, or simply wait to see what finds them!

Morning and evening game drives in open safari game viewing vehicles, bush walks, bird watching, astronomy, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, river walks, hippo tours, safari lunches, wildlife lectures, boma dinners, wellness treatments, local village experiences and visits to historically significant sites.

An overnight wilderness stay at Tinyeleti is definitely one of the most romantic, unique, authentic, and memorable South Africa safari experience. A night out under the stars is booked as an activity over and above the accommodation reserved at Lion Sands Narina Lodge.

CHILDREN

Lion Sands Narina Lodge welcomes children of 10 and older. Childrens’ activities are available but no babysitting services are available. Family rooms are available for guests with children.

WILDLIFE, BIRDLIFE & NATURE

Lion Sands Game Reserve is the only private reserve to have a foot in both the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Kruger National Park. Lion Sands Narina Lodge is located within the Kruger National Park and enjoys optimal Sabie River frontage.

The concession covers 30 km of river frontage of the Sabie River and approximately 14 km of the Sand River and is home to a large selection of fauna and flora. The concession falls under the conservation management of the Kruger National Park and this guarantees unsurpassed game viewing in a pristine natural environment.

All the Big Five game animals are found at Kruger National Park, which has more species of mammals than any other African Game Reserve.

Out of the 517 species of birds found at Kruger National Park, 253 are residents, 117 non-breeding migrants, and 147 nomads. A large variety of raptors could be seen in the Kruger National Park.

Lion Sands Narina Lodge is located in a low risk malaria area and we suggest that you consult this with your health practitioner before travelling.

LOCATION

Lion Sands Narina Lodge is located within the Kruger National Park with Paul Kruger Gate as the nearest entrance point. Driving time from Johannesburg is approximately 4½ to 5 hours.

Guests can fly in directly to Skukuza Airport which is only a 10 minute drive from the Lion Sands Narina Lodge, or alternatively into Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga Airport, 1 ½ - 2 hours by road.

Daily scheduled flights are available between Cape Town, Johannesburg and Skukuza Airport.
